SHORT BIO

I am a native of Greenville, NC.  My grandfather, the storyteller in the family, inspired me to become a storyteller by his captivating tales. When I was a child, I remember entertaining my family by recording myself telling “made-up silly stories” in different voices.

Winning my first poetry contest in elementary school, inspired me to continue writing.

Once I became a mother, I combined the love of storytelling and writing to become a children's book author. I am the proud mother of 11 beautiful children, who are my biggest fans and inspiration.

My late husband and writing partner, Joel S. Tuck

I lost my dear husband on November 11, 2014, after 18 years of marriage and 22 years of friendship. Joel was a loving husband, father, and friend. 

Joel was a native of Philadelphia, PA. He joined me in writing in 2005 when he became the voice behind Sheldon. He studied various writing styles and techniques, and provided essential ideas for character and plot development. Joel was the "fire' behnd my writing.
